About MSA-meds Professional Administration

We started MSA-meds because so many of our post–settlement pharmacy clients needed assistance with their Medicare Set-aside Accounts. We understood the worry and concern that our clients faced in properly spending and accounting for the funds in their MSA Accounts because the rules are very complicated. Because of our extensive experience with Medicare Set-aside Accounts, we knew we could help. So instead of just advising our clients about how to handle their accounts, we decided to set up a whole division devoted to handling the administration of MSA Accounts for our clients.

MSA-meds was created as a unique combination of a professional MSA administration service and a mail order pharmacy that specializes in helping injured people.

Our Team of MSA Experts

Our team of MSA professionals includes experts in every aspect of the Medicare Set-aside process for workers’ compensation and personal injury cases including the legal aspects of Medicare Set-asides, submission of MSA proposals, understanding all of the intricacies of the CMS Approval process, knowing which doctors’ visits, procedures, diagnostic tests, medical equipment, and medications are covered by Medicare in relation to a specific injury, annual MSA Account reporting requirements, negotiating COBC liens, and all the details involved in administering MSA Accounts.

Our team includes:

  • Colleen M. Fowler, Esq., MSCC – Colleen is our in-house attorney. She has been fighting for the rights of injured workers for more than 15 years. Colleen began her legal career representing injured workers at a Pennsylvania law firm and began writing MSA proposals for her clients in 2003. In 2006, she became a Medicare Set-aside Consultant Certified (MSCC) and opened her own Medicare Set-aside company. Colleen has been a popular presenter to attorney groups and associations on the topic of MSA and workers’ compensation. Her legal experience and understanding of both pre- and post-settlement prescriptions makes her an enormous asset in keeping all of MSA-meds' clients in compliance with the CMS regulations. Colleen is a member of the National Association of Medicare Set-aside Professionals, the American and Pennsylvania Associations for Justice, multiple Trial Lawyers Associations, and the Workers Injury Law and Advocacy Group. She is also licensed to appear before the United States Supreme Court.

Although she was disabled for life, she received only a meager settlement that did not begin to cover her actual medical expenses. Andre realized how unfair the system could be and developed a passion for helping injured workers.  Through his work at AllianceMeds, Andre was able to fulfill his goal of helping the injured by ensuring that injured workers receive their medication even when their cases were in litigation.   His background also includes electronic financial transactions for First Data Corp. and Wells Fargo Bank, as an investment advisor for Sun America Securities and working for a large MSA Allocation Company.  Andre is currently a member of the National Association of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals (NAMSAP), the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association and a Board Member of the BucksMont Pharmacists Association.
